Olutunu (Tunu) Oyelola is an Award-Winning Public Relations and Advertising Marketing Consultant. She is an experienced manager with demonstrated ability to connect meaningfully with clients and she is known for her keen eye for creative strategy born from a decade in the industry.
Her expertise ranges from media and stakeholder relations to event management to influencer relations and brand partnerships. She is proven at delivering results and tangible and sustainable strategies for clients in the fashion, beauty, tech, social media, e-commerce, philanthropy, travel, and food spaces.
Tunu got her unofficial start in the industry while earning her BA in Psychology at Carleton University, where she was the public relations officer for the Carleton University Nigerian Students’ Association. She went into agency life at Nigerian-based PR firm, LSF|PR, and in addition to her client work, she was the lead consultant for the agency’s SME division, which focused on business development, media relations, image consultancy and publicity for small businesses.
Adding to her varied experience, Tunu applied her PR expertise to Motherless Babies Home, Lagos – a home for orphaned, abused, homeless and neglected children, where she was responsible for volunteer coordination, event management, fundraising, and social media.
Tunu also worked as the Story Editor and marketing consultant for The Smart Money Woman, a Nigerian book-turned-television series on Netflix that aims to increase millennial and Gen Z women’s financial literacy.
Always one to take on opportunities far and wide, Tunu completed her MA in Public Relations at London School of Communication (University of Arts London). Tunu loves film and television and is passionate about mental health awareness. She is a proud dog mama to her Lhasa Apso Oscar.
