OPENING CEREMONY AND DEDICATION OF BRIGHTHOUSE ACADEMY

In a grand ceremony, Brighthouse Academy, a flagship project of the Oladele Oyelola Foundation, was officially opened to the public. The school is dedicated to providing tuition-free quality education to children from Okun land.

 

The event, which marked a significant milestone in the transformation of education in Okun land, was attended by distinguished guests, including:

  • Hon. Wemi Jones, Commissioner of Education, Kogi State
  • Architect Idris Salman, Honorable Member, House of Representatives
  • Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, Chairman, Ijumu Local Government
  • Hon. Yori Afolabi, Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission
   

Hon. Wemi Jones, in his speech, praised Brighthouse Academy as one of the best schools he has ever commissioned in his years in office, stating that the institution will nurture future doctors, engineers, architects, pilots, and professionals of great repute.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Oladele Oyelola Foundation and his wife, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyelola, shared a special moment with the village women, reinforcing the foundation's commitment to community empowerment.

 

A total of 100 pupils admitted into Brighthouse Academy joyfully performed a march-past display and were warmly celebrated. The chairman of the occasion, Dr Michael Ayodele Bello, welcomed the 10 pioneer staff members and encouraged them to do their best in delivering quality education to the students.

 

The atmosphere was filled with joy and appreciation as guests witnessed the unveiling of a smart classroom equipped with a smartboard, constant power supply, and internet connection to facilitate modern learning.

 

The dedication of Brighthouse Academy marks the beginning of a new chapter in education for Okun land. With free tuition and cutting-edge technology, the academy is set to become a model institution for digital learning and academic excellence.
